Pope Leo will not need any further treatment after undergoing lung cancer surgery last week, his doctors said, according to the Guardian. The medics indicated that the pontiff’s tumour had not spread, the Guardian reported.

The BBC also reported that the pope does not need further treatment following his lung cancer surgery.

Doubts remain about the pope’s planned trip to South America next month, the Guardian reported.
