Mormon Wives star Jen Affleck files for divorce while pregnant

Jen Affleck, a cast member of the Hulu reality series “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” has filed for divorce from her husband, Zac Affleck, TMZ reported. The news was picked up on Wednesday by Us Magazine and Vulture. She is pregnant with the couple’s fourth child, a pregnancy the pair announced in June.
The couple met in 2018 on Mutual, a dating application built for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, became engaged the same year and married shortly after. Their first child, Nora Lu, arrived in 2020, followed by Luca in 2023 and Penelope in 2025.
The marriage had shown public strain before the filing. The couple separated in 2025, then appeared to reconcile; the pregnancy announcement followed in June. In August, Affleck spoke of the period in a statement to People: “It’s been a lot the past couple months, I’ll be honest… But I do feel like I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and just trying to count my blessings every single day.”
The filing removes Affleck from the show’s ensemble as one of its better-known storylines closes. Cast members Whitney Rose and Angie Katsanevas, both of whose marriages also ended on camera, are already single. Affleck had recently relocated to southern California for the spin-off “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County.”
The series, in which a group of Utah mothers document their lives, became a national television phenomenon and made its cast household figures, with their marriages, divorces and religious departures played out across the show and its spin-offs. Affleck, a cousin of the actor and director Ben Affleck, has been among its most prominent participants.
The filing is the latest marital break-up to unfold on the series, which Vulture reported is preparing an Orange County instalment already full of drama of its own.
